Tax program will NOT reopen this year.
AARP has said that the Tax Aid program can NOT open up in Bryan County. They let the site coordinator know via email yesterday after she sent an inquiry. We had a safety plan in place, plans for PPE, and the volunteers were ready to go but AARP still said no. We apologize for the inconvenience. We will post some online tax prep sites.
Cindi Gill, a local tax preparer known on Facebook as “The Tax Lady” has offered a discount to seniors for tax preparation. You can reach her at 580-931-6299.
The following was an online tax program we have promoted in the past:

Here is what AARP suggests doing in the wake of closed volunteer sites:

The ladies are here on Tuesdays and Thursdays from
10:00am to 6:00pm preparing taxes for the public
for FREE. They can also answer tax related questions.
Sat. Feb 15th
Come join us for a night of food and fun. Laginappe Productions puts on a great, interactive show that is fun for all. This is an annual event that raises money for the library’s FOL group. The FOL, Friends of the Library, help fund databases and community projects at the library.
Tickets are $50/person with 8 people per table. The ticket includes a sit down, catered dinner and show.
Call the front desk or stop by for tickets and information.
